Dr. Christoph F. Kurat
Group Leader
I studied biology and microbiology at the University of Graz in Austria. I am interested in chromatin biology and the cell cycle. We study how DNA replication and chromatin dynamics are regulated. In my real life, I enjoy my family, nature, my bike and books.
Jessica Furtmeier
Doctoral Student
Jessica has a Master’s degree in biochemistry (LMU Munich). Before joining the lab, she did her Master's thesis at the Müller-Planitz lab (BMC LMU, now TU Dresden). She is interested in where nucleosomes are positioned after DNA replication. When not in the lab, she enjoys playing video games, working on cosplays and training in samurai swordfight.
Silvia Härtel
Technical Assistant
Silvia is the technical assistant at our lab. She is responsible for the management of the lab, as well as supporting the ongoing research in the lab. Outside the lab, she enjoys going on a bike ride, reading and dancing.
